About This Role


We are looking for an entrepreneurial, driven and employee-oriented individual to join our People & Culture team, to lead ground-breaking initiatives for our rock-stars in the Sri Lanka Circles. Life team!


Working directly with senior leaders across the Product Engineering and People & Culture departments, the successful candidate will be conceptualizing and delivering end-to-end employee initiatives to enhance collaboration across the organization.


In addition, the successful candidate will work with other regional team members in the project management of company-wide initiatives to further improve on the employee journey!


This is a group-level role based in Sri Lanka.

What You'll Do


  • Align and closely coordinate with the Head Office P&C and HR business partners to discuss, understand and extend P&C initiatives and practices, and adapt them to the local context.
  • Be creative and innovative in bringing in novel practices to uplift the culture, team synergy and spirit, and overall employee satisfaction (NPS).
  • Initiate and drive employer and employee branding, working with relevant teams to make Circles. Life is the most sought-after employer in terms of employee satisfaction, career growth, and well-being.
  • Partner with the business/functional stakeholders to identify operational challenges and deliver HR solutions.
  • Provide on-ground HR support to ensure the smooth, efficient and timely execution of all day-to-day HR operational processes 
  • Be the eyes and ears of the organization to promote employee engagement and build a solid corporate culture to promote collaboration and build a great place to work and grow.
  • Ensure HR policies comply with relevant statutory and employment law requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for any but not limited to employee queries, hybrid working arrangements, employee disputes, and grievances.
  • Take the lead in overall budget & expense planning and management for the Sri Lanka offices (including office space budget & expense planning)
  • Vendor management: Liaise with other third-party suppliers and vendors (e.g. manpower agency, office space provider, caterers & office supplies provider, benefits provider, etc.)

What We Are Looking For


  • Degree in HR or equivalent qualifications
  • More than 8 years of relevant experience as an HR generalist backed with hands-on exposure across various HR streams (such as Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Rewards & Recognition, Change Management) within a start-up to the mid-size corporate environment
  • Exposure to the IT / high-tech industry will be an added advantage
  • Collaborative with good organizational skills
  • Analytical with an appreciation for technology in general
  • Adopt a hands-on approach/mindset to troubleshoot, manage and resolve issues
  • Highly resilient and self-driven
  • Customer-first focus and with the ability to deliver value and business change
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
